Farmer's Market
We will not be attending farmer's markets this year. The farm was sold so we no longer have meat
and produce to offer. Please continue buying local, fresh produce from the other market vendors.

Lime Valley Mill is going through a lot of changes right now. Some of you may have heard that the farm has been sold. We have liquidated much
of our equipment, supplies, animals and product. All hay, straw and grain has been sold and our products for markets are dwindling. February will be the last month
we will be attending markets with our produce, eggs or meat.
Lime Valley Mill will still exist, but in a completely different form. We are in the process of forming a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization called Lime Valley Mill
Preservation Society. The purpose of this organization is to preserve and protect the former flour mill, Lime Valley Mill.
We intend on giving regular tours of the mill, holding workshops and scouting events and of course, our annual 'Christmas at Lime Valley Mill'
arts and crafts show, among other events. Probably the most exciting new adventure we have planned is to start grinding grains which willl be available for sale.
We are in the process of setting up equipment to be able to grind corn and wheat. We hope to have a product available for sale by the end of April. We want to
preserve as much of the history as possible, so that is why we intend on using a flour bag design that was originally used between 1941-1963.
While unable to grow our own grain right now, we do plan on sourcing our grain from local Lancaster County farms. The products we plan to have initially will be whole wheat
flour, corn meal, polenta and grits. Initially, we will be selling our products directly out of the mill. Eventually, we would like to see our products being sold at local merchants around
the area, being used at local restaurants and possibly sold at local markets.
Join us the first Saturday of each month 11 am to 1 pm at Eastern Market for their Winter Market. The market is located at the corner of East King and Shippen Streets in Lancaster. We will have our produce, fresh brown eggs and our beef, pork, lamb and chicken.
Lime Valley Mill, the foundation of the Company, is a historic roller mill located along the Pequea Creek in southern West Lampeter Township in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The property includes approximately 100 acres of prime farmland. The limestone mill dates from 1846 on a site that has been utilized for milling since 1720. It operated as a flour and feed mill until 1972. The adjacent farm has been continuously worked since at least the early 1800's and includes a stone house built in 1833. The brick mill house dates from 1889. In addition to the mill and houses, the property includes two large barns and small outbuildings.
